Porsha Williams talks about her past experience with R. Kelly and says he told her to undress when she met him for a musical opportunity.

Porsha Williams is preparing for the release of her book, The Pursuit of Porsha: How I Have Grown in My Strength and Purpose, and in the book she talks about various life experiences I’ve had, including those shared by R. Kelly. Talk to Porsche the peopleabout their meeting and why she wanted to talk to investigators about the situation. A moment she thought would be a great opportunity for her music career.

Porsha shared that she met R. Kelly’s comeback girlfriend in 2007 when she was still pursuing a music career. By the time she flew to Chicago to meet him, she thought she’d meet him in the studio, but was taken to his house instead. Once at his house, she was left in his room for hours, and as soon as he entered the room, he told her to undress.

She recounted that moment in her book and said, “I’ve really put myself in this situation. That’s what you’re supposed to do. You have to. There’s no going back.” Porsha shared that she saw R. Kelly two more times after that initial meeting and said she had been in contact with several young women who were in his house. But she decided not to see him after she woke up one morning and heard him hitting another woman.

Porsha told People, “I realized it was my chance to help anyone who was hurt by him. There have been so many other cases in which I have been abused by men that my mentality [at that time] He was someone who was abused and it is okay for me to be treated that way.”

Porsha said that she also kept this secret from her family members.

She said, “It’s not something you want to tell your mother, because my mother is a very strong woman and she did her best to raise me. And I think for any woman or man who has been in an abusive situation, you don’t want to tell your parents because you don’t want them to think they let you down in any way.” I don’t want her to think she did anything wrong. And so I took it upon myself.”

as Previously Last September, a federal jury found R. Kelly guilty in his sex trafficking trial.
