Spotify grants Adele request that toggle button is unavailable

There is no skipping here! If you’re planning on giving Adele’s new album, “30,” a listen, get ready to listen to it in its entirety without any skips. After the release of her fourth album, Adele had a direct request to remove the shuffle button, and streaming platform Spotify is standing next to her ten toes down.

Listeners can no longer use the default switching option on Spotify. Today, the singer responded to the Pop Crave blog about the news. She tweeted, “This was the only request I’ve received in our ever-changing industry!” She continued, tweeting, “We don’t create albums with so much care and think about our playlist for no reason. Our art tells a story, and our stories should be listened to as we wanted. Thank you, Spotify, for listening.”

Spotify seems to have been more than happy to fulfill the requirements. The company replied, “Anything for you.” A Spotify spokesperson told CNN: “As Adele reported, we’re happy to share that we’re starting to roll out a new Premium feature that users and artists have long requested to make the Play button the default on all albums.” The spokesperson also stated, “For those users who still want to shuffle an album, they can go to the Now Playing view and select shuffle. As always, we will continue to iterate on our products and features to create the best experiences for both artists and their fans.”

Adele’s album was released on November 19, but when her debut single “Easy on Me” was dropped last month, itSpotify’s record for the most streamed song in a day broke the UK record for most streams in a single week. Rooms, do you feel the album yet?
