A transgender woman in Houston has been arrested and charged with premeditated murder after police said she administered an unlicensed silicone syringe that killed a woman.
Lisa Fernandez, 47, was arrested Tuesday for the alleged murder of 38-year-old Marga McClendon of St. Louis, Missouri. Marga passed away days after her date with Fernandez that took place in her apartment in 2018.
Lisa — a “beauty consultant” — has been showing butt procedures outside her home since 2004, according to court documents. Police say Lisa obtained the silicone illegally and gave it an injection into the woman’s backside.
MTO News has learned that Marja’s story is truly heartbreaking. After the first round of injections on April 24, 2018, the beautiful St. Louis woman developed pain and illness. But she returned the next day for her second round of injections. According to court documents, Marga returned, at least in part, because Lisa refused to refund her money.

Officials said the second procedure was halted several times because Marja was in “extreme pain”.
Then things went from bad to worse, officials told MTO News. Marja began losing her breath and coughing up blood before being admitted to the local emergency room, and days after being admitted and discharged from the hospital, she passed away on April 30, 2018.
The official cause of death was judged to be a complication of silicone pulmonary embolism. Homicide investigators began a painstaking two-year investigation that ended on Tuesday when they arrested Lisa over Marga’s death.
“We are concerned — because this is a trend now to receive buttock injections — there may be other victims. We encourage anyone to come forward who have received buttock injections,” Harris County Assistant District Attorney Nancy Ta told media.
