During the film’s premiere, he spoke with Kevin Frazier from “Entertainment tonight, and talked about the gesture. He said, “All I can do is do my part, so it’s always an honor and a pleasure to do my part, and everyone has done a great job. It’s been the COVID lockdowns, and people are really stuck with us. It’s been a much more difficult process than anyone thought they were engaging in.” I just felt it was fair.”

Will also shared what it was like when playing Richard Williams, and added, “He predicted it. Two years before they were born. He’s science-level parenting. He had to learn tennis himself, he and Orasin learned how to play tennis, and then they learned how to teach it to their kids.” It is one of the most amazing stories.”

Venus Williams also shared how it was when she learned that Will had signed on to play her father in the movie. “When I heard he wanted to be a part of the project, like, long before I got shot, she just died,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ “So, he must be everyone’s father if you ask me.”

as we are Previously Serena Williams mentioned sharing a beautiful video of her father and daughter Alexis Olympia riding her bike and said, “A rare sight, the only, the only goat still motivating…King Richard, but I call him my dad.”

King Richard hits theaters on HBO Max on November 19.
