Roommates, it’s been a week since the fatal shooting of Young Dolph, and it still looks unreal. His fans, Paper Route Empire (PRE) artists, and many celebrities have shared their condolences to the Dolph family and continue to let his legacy live on. Today, his family finally broke their silence and issued a statement. In the statement obtained by Wreg, the family refers to the fallen rapper as their angel.
“No words adequately express the pain we feel as a family. The loss of Adolph, Dolph, Man-Man, changes our lives forever. As we take each day as it comes, we are relieved to know he is leaving a legacy that reflects his heart,” the statement read. “A heart he had for his family. A heart he had for people. We are grateful for the outpouring of love. We are grateful that his divine commitment to showing kindness to the world has been recognized.”
The statement continued, “As a family, we have been blessed to call him our son, nephew, brother, cousin, partner, and father. Now, we are honored to call him our angel. A role he has always played.”
The manifesto also included a beautiful quote from author Rudyard Kipling, best known for “The Jungle Book.” The quote read, “If you can converse with the public and preserve your virtues, or walk with kings–and not lose the common touch; if you cannot be hurt by foes or loving friends; if all men reckon with you, but there are not many; if I was able to fill the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds of running distance – yours the earth and all that’s inside, and what’s more, you’ll be a man, my boy.”
As we previously reported, Dolph’s longtime girlfriend Mia Jaye and cousin rapper Key Glock shared heartfelt messages on Instagram in commemoration of Dolph. Chambers At this time, no one has been arrested for Dolph’s murder. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the entire Dolph family.
